Fried Pickles

Serve ’em up hot with the Triple Dips for a winning combination!

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup all purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • ½ teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 cup buttermilk
  • 2 cups sliced pickles
  • Vegetable oil, for frying

Directions

  1. In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, cayenne pepper, salt, and black pepper.
  2. Pour the buttermilk into a separate bowl.
  3. Dip the sliced pickles into the buttermilk, then coat them in the flour mixture, making sure they are completely covered.
  4. Heat the vegetable oil in a deep fryer or large pot until it reaches 350.
  5. Fry the pickles in batches until they are golden brown, about 2-3 minutes per batch.
  6. Use a slotted spoon to remove the pickles from the oil and place them on a paper towel-lined plate to drain the excess oil.
  7. Serve the fried pickles hot with your favorite dipping sauce.
