Made with crunchy pecans, aromatic vanilla, and sweet brown sugar. These bite-sized treats are perfect for sharing or enjoying all to yourself.
Ingredients:
- ½ cup pecans, finely chopped
- ½ cup brown sugar
- ½ cup of corn syrup
- 2 eggs, beaten
- ¼ cup unsalted butter
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- ¼ tsp salt
- 1 (8 oz) can refrigerated crescent dough
- Vegetable oil for frying
Directions:
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the chopped pecans, brown sugar, corn syrup, beaten eggs, melted butter, vanilla extract, and salt. Mix until well combined.
- On a lightly floured surface, unroll the refrigerated crescent dough and press seams together to form a large rectangle.
- Cut the dough into 24 equal pieces using a knife or pizza cutter.
- Take each piece of dough and press it into a mini muffin tin, forming a small cup.
- Fill each cup with the pecan mixture.
- Preheat vegetable oil in a deep fryer or in a large pot to 350°F.
- Carefully drop each filled dough cup into the hot oil and fry until golden brown, about 2-3 minutes.
- Remove with a slotted spoon and drain on a paper towel-lined plate.
- Serve warm and enjoy!
